Discover insect-friendly plant worlds at IPM ESSEN 2025
At the Meetingpoint Climate Trees and Perennials in Hall 6, IPM ESSEN will show how horticultural crops actively contribute to the protection of insects. Species-rich perennial plantings provide food, protection and breeding habitats for wild bees, protect the root zone of trees and promote biodiversity. Woody plants complement these plantings as important retreats and feeding sites for insects, birds and other small animals.
The BdS working group on plant use has developed tried and tested concepts for different locations over the years - from mixed plantings for shade and open spaces to diverse plant communities. An overview of insect-friendly perennial mixes will be available to trade fair visitors directly at the Meeting Point.
Guided tours to exhibitors who specialize in biodiversity, climate-resistant trees and insect-friendly perennials also start from here. Look forward to exciting insights and valuable practical knowledge!
