Landgard has its offices in Straelen-Herongen, and as a modern marketing producer cooperative, it is fully owned by the horticulturists. With about 2,800 member companies, Landgard is one of the largest European marketing organisations for flowers and plants, fruit and vegetables, and generates an annual turnover of around 2 billion euros. About 3,000 employees work in the divisions and subsidiaries of the Landgard-Group. With its own brand, Landgard operates 30 Cash & Carry stores within and outside Germany, supplies large organised trade customers with its own fresh produce logistics, from DIY store chains and the food retail industry to the discount sector, garden centres and specialist retailers, and operates the only auction house for potted and flowering plants and cut flowers in Germany.
