Our Company founder, V.L. Smithers, invented the world’s first water-absorbing floral foam in 1954, which revolutionized the floral industry.

In 1938, the first flower food was developed and introduced by Floralife, Inc. Since that time our Floralife® brand of post-harvest products has led the industry in the care and handling of cut flowers.
